The award was presented during the AWA Global Release Liner Summit 2026 dinner, hosted jointly by AWA Alexander Watson Associates and Mondi Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established in 2016, the AWA Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the release liner industry. The award celebrates leadership, dedication, service, and innovation, acknowledging those who have helped drive the industry\u2019s development and long-term success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presenting the award, Corey M. Reardon, President &amp; CEO of AWA, extended his congratulations: &#8220;We are very proud at AWA and honored to shepherd this award, recognizing outstanding contributions to the release liner industry, and presenting this acknowledgement to such well deserving recipients. This year&#8217;s AWA Release Liner Industry Leadership Award is given to Jurgen Van der Donck.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reardon added: &#8220;Jurgen has played a meaningful and influential role in shaping the release liner industry through leadership positions both within his organization and across the broader value chain. With <em>Innovation &amp; Sustainability<\/em> as this year\u2019s summit theme, it is especially fitting to recognize someone who has championed innovation for decades and has been a strong advocate of critical sustainability initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In presenting the award, Corey Reardon noted: &#8220;Jurgen has always been at the heart of the release liner market. He is a true gentleman, an inspirational leader, and a collaborative and fair business partner, always ready to help and work with colleagues and partners across the industry value chain.&#8221; In closing, Corey M.
